Fishing is a great activity that allows Tsuki to gain a lot of carrots!

This activity is unlocked upon purchasing Pipi's fishing rod from Yori's General Store.

Mechanism

Fishing

  1. Go to a Fishing Spot. There are three currently, which you can find in the section "Fishing spots and times" below.
  2. Tap on the blue fishing icon Icon - fish.png.
  3. When a fish tugs on the line and you hear a "slush" water sound, tap the screen to reel in the catch.
  4. You will see what you caught. Tap the screen to dismiss it.

To see all of your fish, tap on your inventorySchumakerbackpack.png to open it. You can filter to your fish by tapping the items icon Icon - items.png, then the fish icon Icon - inventory - fish.png.

Fishing gear

Fishingstick.png Fishing stick
  • The first fishing gear you can get in the game.
  • Has the worst fishing efficiency.
Fishingrod.png Fishing rod
  • Purchased from Pipi at Yori's General Store for 7500 CarrotIcon.png.
  • The duration between each catch is significantly decreased.
  • The fishing efficiency is 40% more than the fishing stick.

Over-fishing

Over-fishing is a reality in the game! After about 10 to 20 catches, the rate at which Tsuki will be able to catch fish drops drastically. When that happens, simply move to another fishing spot. The waters will gradually return to the normal catch rate after 2 hours 6 minutes.

Statistics

  • At first, each catch is about every 10~15 seconds. Then it increases to 20~30 seconds, then to 45 seconds, and finally to more than 1 minute.
  • In general, you can catch 22-23 fishes in 7 minutes, 24-25 fishes using the fishing rod in 8 minutes, and 27-28 fishes in 10 minutes with the fishing rod.
  • For the most number of catches in the least amount of time, it's recommended to go fishing for 7 minutes per fishing spot, then wait for the first fishing spot to recover fully.

The table below shows a fully recovered round with the fishing rod.

Fishing duration

(minutes)

Average number of fish

per minute

Number of fish caught

1 3.50 3~4 3~4
2 4.00 4~5 8

5 3.40 2~3 17

8 3.06 2 24~25
9 2.94 2 26~27
10 2.75 1 27~28

The over-fishing fully recovery time is 2 hours and 6 minutes (i.e. 126 minutes) after the first catch.

  • For example, if the last fishing starts at 1:11pm and stops at 1:20pm, the next best fishing time will be 3:17pm.
  • In this case, you don't need to wait exactly 126 minutes since the recovery recovers gradually.
  • From a fishing spot which has full recovered, you can catch .

60 10~11 43%
90 10~11 43%
120 19~20 80%
124 23~24 96%

126 24~25 100%

Selling

For now, fish has only one purpose - to earn carrots. There are two ways to sell them:

  • At Yori's General Store, which yields only half of the carrots shown on the item cards.
    1. Tap on Yori (8am - 8pm) or Elfie (8pm - 8am).
    2. Tap the red icon Icon - sell.png.
    3. Select the type and number of fish you would like to sell.
    4. Tap the check icon Icon - check.png.
    5. Confirm the offer with Yori or Elfie by replying.
  • Via the bounty board at the Town Hall, which yields more carrots than specified on the item cards.
    1. Tap the bounty board, which is unlocked the day it makes the headlines on the newspaper.
    2. The fish on the board are shown in full colour if you have them in your inventory, whereas those that you don't have are shown as silhouettes only.
    3. Tap on the ones you have in your inventory to sell them. A red stamp will appear on the offers you've already accepted.

When you sell fish, one will disappear from your inventory, and you will earn the carrots accordingly.

Conversation: confirmation on selling price

The buyer (Yori or Paige) will confirm with you the amount of carrots you will get.

Fishing spots and times

Notation: If the time entry says "1pm," for example, it means that the fish appears any time between 1:00pm and 1:59pm; if it says "1-2pm," it means any time between 1:00pm and 2:59pm.

Note: Keep in mind that these are only the times we have right now -- it can always change and we will discover more. It's just so everyone can have an approximate time to look for certain types of fish.
